This seems like a great tool for Tookapic - it allows for better quality with the same file sizes or the same quality with lower file sizes. Better quality would be nice, I sometimes see some artifacts on photos I upload :)

Kazzi I'm curious about Paweł's comparison with tookapic algorythm. :>

Alek Jedliński Well, I'm not even sure it is possible to change it, maybe current algorythm is a part of a larger stack tookapic is using. But it looks promising :)

Marek Szymczuk Guetzli uses a large amount of memory and significant amount of CPU time so it's not a great tool for a website like Tookapic:

TL;DR: incredibly slow and memory-hungry. 😉
