The stage goes dark

Many years ago I met a Dragon.

At first, I didn't really get him. But over the years he won me over.

He slept in the weirdest positions, was in awe of my shirt buttons and enjoyed stalking my dog.

He may have not been the best hunter but made up for it in personality.

And now, I use the past tense to describe him.
