Photo. Stop. Police.

This is probably not the photo I would have posted, but there is a story behind it. I'd noticed the solar panels on the roof of the building in the picture and was wondering if they would work for this weeks theme - roofs. I took a couple of shots, but it didn't seem to work. Shortly afterwards a police car pulls up and asks to have a word. The building in question is a police station, so they wanted to asked me what I was taking pictures of. I fully co-operated with them, showed them the photos I took, and gave them my details. They even looked me up on the system to check on me. In the end a very surreal experience. I decided to sleep on it before deciding if I should post this. In the end, I feel I need to post this to publish the photo and my experience. Its a way for me to get it off my chest, because although I understand they are doing their job in the current climate, it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth that this is the society we now live in where photographic freedoms are being eroded.

And funnily enough, I seem to have caught the police car turning around to come to speak to me in this picture.
