Bitter sweet

I actually took this walking to my car after work last night, it was dark and raining but it stood out on the pavement in all its vibrant glory but then I thought how sad that someone has picked it to bring joy to someone else yet it's somehow on the pavement dying a pointless death. I love flowers, so much so I don't pick them, I water them and watch them grow.
