The Element of Water

There is something about lakes, rivers, oceans and water in general that draws me to it. While on my mission trip in Uruguay this summer, we played a personality game of questions. One of the questions was: "What is your favorite part of nature and why?" I replied, "The ocean, because it is very strong and powerful, yet gentle at the same time. I say this alluding to the power of the waves from afar, rolling in deep with force. Yet when it reaches the shore it slows down to a gentle touch." My friend then stated, "Your statement to this question is how you view God." I was pleasantly surprised yet, it resonated deeply with me.
