200 years

Went out to dinner with some friends tonight to the place where my wife & I got married. It's an old (well, as old as the buildings we have here in the U.S.) hotel which dates back to 1740.

George Washington, before he became the first president of the United States, and while leading the Continental army, knocked on the door of this hotel seeking shelter but was turned away as the innkeeper was loyal to the British Crown.

It is one of our favorite places to go for dinner as there is a charm and a history that you feel when you walk in the hotel. Of course, we also have our own history there too.

The table here in the picture has been used as a dining table for hotel guests and restaurant guests for over 200 years, or 73,000 tookapic's. We stayed long enough that we were one of the last to leave, and I couldn't resist taking a pic.
