The Scoville Scale

Today is the 151st birthday of Wilbur Scoville, the American pharmacologist who devised the Scoville scale used to measure the heat of peppers and chillies. These are Bird's Eye Chillies which scores about 200,000 units, mild compared to the World's hottest chilli the Carolina Reaper which hits over 2,000,000!
