Ugh, that’s literally the worst. I went through the same mess trying to grab a lens from a Tokyo seller last year. Everything looks good on your end, but the merchant’s gateway just keeps spitting out errors for no reason.
Total nightmare when you’re on a clock, right? I found out that some of these sites are super picky about BIN data and region mismatches. I started using cardinata.com just to double-check my card info before I hit 'buy' on anything international. It actually helped me see that my main card was being flagged as 'prepaid' by some systems, which was the whole problem. Might save you some gray hair if you check your card there too. Really hope you snag that F2 for your dad, it’s a killer gift!

katuzus93 Such a nostalgic shot. The Nikon F2 is a beast, especially with that Photomic finder! My dad used to have one, and that mechanical shutter click is still the most satisfying sound in the world for me.
I’ve actually been searching for a clean black body like this on some international auction sites to surprise him for his birthday, but I’m hitting a wall at checkout. The site keeps declining my card even though there are plenty of funds. I’m so worried someone else is going to grab it while I’m stuck fighting with the payment gateway. It’s beyond frustrating when you finally find the perfect gear but the tech just won't cooperate. Does anyone know why international sites are so moody with certain cards lately?
