I was almost giving up. People asked me if I was still taking a photo a day. People asked why I did this. People told me to stop this and sleep more. Work more. Play more.
They said it's worthless. There's no point in this project.
And I was giving up. Almost. In the last days I still took photos, but didn't download, neither develop them.
You know what? I'm not giving up.
Not just because during this project I learnt things that made me a better photographer. Because I'm learning how to be a better person. I'm learning how to keep going even when you forgot the reason you started. I'm learning how to find something wonderful or at least interesting even in the worst day.
And I'm learning that the only limit is your imagination.
And here's the technical details, I know that there's people here that loves them (I hope to see your shots!): I got this black background and this high DOF and sharpness setting the exposure to the the shortest sync speed of the flash and lowest ISO setting, and then closing down the aperture until everything was pitch black.
I then lit the scene with the flash at 1/8 of its power, put it as close as possible and used a Flashbender as a snoot, trying to not light the room.
Shot on Canon 550D, lit with a Yongnuo YN560 III flash with Yongnuo RF603C II.
Edit in Lightroom Classic CC.
