Today I went again to christian Hanging Church in Cairo. Not far from it there is one more - St. George church. On territory near church there is cemetery. And on photo is one of the tombs of some arabic christian person. Why the photo is posted?! It is difficult to imagine that in totally islamic country could be christian people. What to say else... I can just add that Hanging church has paintings inside dating by 4th century A. D. and church is dated by 3rd century A.D. From my experience - this is the oldest christian church I ever knew or hear. That means that christians are there almost for 2 000 years there. And people who are going into church are copts (local ethnoreligious group) who are direct descendants of pharaohs. What?!! I asked one of the local islamic people "how are you living together with christians, are there maybe any (maybe religious) problems, etc...?" - He told me that all the life they are living together, they are doing business together, they respect each other, and religion is very personal thing to which you do no pay attention, same as in other countries. Yes, lot of things we know about Egypt are not true, also media currently are not showing truth about situation here. As summary: there is always something you don't know and new to learn.
