More Tea

You may have noticed by now, but tea is my beverage of choice. Anyway, I really liked the style and tone of my Candles picture about 2 weeks ago and tried to go for something similar again.

Here's a few thoughts about my process here: The candles photo was shot mid afternoon and was actually lit with all natural light from windows across the room. Today, I didn't get to my picture until later in the evening. For this, I lit the cup with my softbox about a foot to the left and my assistant (girlfriend) holding a reflector by the light to bounce the light and fill the background.

For post processing, I use lightroom. I actually did 2 edits of this picture. The first edit I did actually went on the bright side. I wanted to overexpose the background to get a clean off-white tone. I then made a virtual copy and knocked the exposure down a lot. Added some finishing touches and decided to use this one over the brighter one. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
