Welcome Ricoh GR II :-)
I've been thinking about this camera for more than 3 years now. Unfortunately, I did not shoot enough to really justify this additional expense without breaking my ground rules. However, things have changed - let's call it the Tookapic Effect.
Next thing is that I haven't done myself such a present for years now. And at this very point in time there are at least two more reasons to feel I deserve something extra :-)
Last but not least, recently I sold of some unused photo gear that has been gathering dust for a really long time. More cash to spend helps to make decisions, doesn't it?
It was a real dilemma, whether to buy another prime lens for my Pentax, or to try something new. After few days of beating this to death, I decided to go with the Ricoh. Or at least give it a try.
It really fits in the pocket, which brings a great advantage in everyday shooting. The other thing is that it will not be easy for me to run only with a rather wide (28mm FF) lens. I'm up to this challenge, and we'll see how it goes...
P.S.
My good old K-5 stays and will be still in use for sure. I'm not giving up any of the plans to eventually re-supply it with some new primes :-)
