Roseate Spoonbill

Guarding her egg. I watched the couple building the nest a few days ago. The female (I'm guessing) would sit on the nest while the male walks around the area bring back one stick at a time. He passes it off to her and she places it in the nest. It was so cool!

Jennifer Faye Thank you! This nest has one egg, and there are two other nests close by but I haven't been able to see the eggs yet. I hope to be able to photograph the eggs more closely, and the little ones when it is time!
