Hole?

I have no idea what could have made this. A very persistent woodpecker, maybe? It was pretty hard to get this photo since it was on a slope of the path, my hands were full, and it was high enough up that I had to stand on my to toes. Not to mention all the other branches to get around. It's a good metaphor for how I'm feeling lately actually. So much to do to get one small thing done.
