Chris G I like how you include the snowy mountains to the right. Gives it more perspective.

vera Thank you Chris! I would have liked to show the Rhone Valley better... but no time for it today. I'm glad you saw it though :)

Chris G My one time in Switzerland showed it to be a beautiful country.

vera Yes I think so too... Lots of greenery and beautiful landscapes! :-)

Terry Artt Nice shot Vera, if my memory is correct it is hard to get a view overlooking the castle.

vera Yes... I don't know what view I would have from the mountain that is beside (from Savièse if you know?). In this case, I must acquire a new lens of course... 😋 ! Another solution would be to go with a plane ! I wait for this opportunity one day... 😉

Satoshi T Another solution wold be to "Getting airborne" with your camera :)

vera Hahaha! Could be one day! I know someone who does photography paragliding! In French he names it "Parartiste". He makes beautiful photos!

Satoshi T Very clear day and pic vera. you can see it from above if you climb the mountain? btw. "Tourbillon" reminds me a very complicate mechanism of a watch :)

vera Oh yes... tourbillon is also a watch of connoisseurs, the great class ! About climbing the mountain I don't know what would be the result... It is fairly far... I have to try with a new lens 😉.

Artur Łobocki Beautiful. Is that castle kind of reconstructed?

vera Thank you Artlobo! The castle was built in the 13th century. It suffered a lot of battles and then was completely and beautifully rebuilt in the 15th century. But in 1788 a fire destroyed it completely. lt wasn't rebuilt, but but work has been undertaken to maintain the walls, considered a historical monument in 1907. Currently the Tourbillon Castle Foundation restores and enhances the site actively. Thank you for your interest! :-)

Roman Czarny Amazing castle - beautiful view - great image

vera thank you very much Roman!
