Butterfly

I went to a butterfly garden today on my lunch break with hopes of getting some great photos. I was pretty disappointed with what I ended up with. They would just not get still and I couldn't get my lens to focus. Some images had great backgrounds but only partial focus, a few (like this one) had decent focus with bland backgrounds. I caught it as it landed on someone's hand. So, not thrilled with this but it's what I have for today.

Nick Graham It's great @Jennifer, I like it. Sometimes we can't always get the best shots and that's okay.

JudithO I like it! Does your lens/camera have only autofocus (AF)? There might be an option to switch to manual focus (MF) or a combination so you can adjust the focus yourself. Get's some time to get used to again after using the autofocus for years but it's great for close up shots!

Jennifer Faye Thanks @nick! @patrick It wasn't a pet long before it flew away haha. Thank you @JudithO! I try using manual focus but I'm never completely confident with that, so I'll often default back to auto. I just need more practice!
