Arbassi is a little village in Veliko Tarnovo Municipality where we slept in guest rooms. The name Arbanassi comes from the Albanian word Arbërës or Arbanas. In 1230, the kingdom of Arbanassi (now Albania) became part of the Bulgarian Empire and many inhabitants of the new territories settled in the region. Amazing! for a village of 300 inhabitants, you can visit eight churches and two monasteries ...
Very charming village, the new houses are constructed with some impositions to preserve the same identity. The old houses are mostly time fortified by walls and there is a large courtyard inside.
Since I love walls, I chose to illustrate it by an ocher brick wall!
