Children's book display and readings from 14-20 June 2015

During Refugee Week the Ballarat Library has displayed books written by people who have experienced being a refugee or worked with refugees. In the Children's Library the preschool children have heard about Ahn Do's amazing journey to Australia.

Also a story about a girl who outgrows her favourite boots. The girl, Bridie, donates her boots and they make their way across the ocean to another little girl. The children talked about what they would take in a suitcase if they were going on an adventure or moving to another country, before making their own suitcases.
