Cooling of the nuclear fuel pool of Unit 3 of the nuclear power plant 2 was temporarily suspended due to this earthquake -it should never stop-. Unlike Chernobyl, when the circulation of cooling water by the external power stops, evaporation starts in about 6 days, and the fuel containing the Plutonium starts to overheat.
