In hiding

You can't blame this little guy for hiding in the bushes, A couple of minutes earlier I was standing besides a bird feeder with my camera trained on some branches on the opposite side, waiting for the birds to land there before continuing on to the bird feeder.

All of a sudden I heard a ruckus, but I didn't look up, since I figured it just was another magpie bullying in.

But, the noise just got louder and more panicked, so I looked up from my viewfinder and saw a great big bloody hawk swooping down and barreling into the birdfeeder, it attacked two – three meters from where I stood! It tried to get it's claws into one of the little birds but I think they all got away. It was all over in a few seconds and I didn't get any images, I was busy just staring at it!
