It was an example of post-war modernism in architecture. Built in 1951 it was a 6 story kids department store. I remember going there as a kid and feeling like in heaven. This is how Smyk looks like now. It's currently being rebuilt, hopefully to bring it's former glory back to Warsaw's street.

Agnieszka K. Yes, I felt the same when I saw it... Hopefully they will rebuilt it as said, meaning keeping the previous form / look. Will keep you posted ;)
