I spent the better part of five hours at San Francisco's Women's March on Washington. It was an incredibly moving experience to witness such community in the face of a disastrous takeover of our government.

It began to rain at about the time the speeches at Civic Center Plaza ended and the march commenced, but if it affected participation, it was minimal. I heard that the march in Los Angeles Drew 750,000 people, and I wouldn't be surprised if the numbers here were about the same.

At the end of the route, many filled the Ferry Building in search of warmth, dryness, warm beverages and food.
