jayce Your shot sessions with the mannequin are really interesting, I like this and learn btw. You are definitely right the light position impacts the portrait perception. Well done!

bvphotosnap Thanks very much Jayce! It's so much easier to practice on a mannequin, I can set everything up and walk away to do something and then when I get back everything is exactly how I left it :D

Margie This one accentuates the curves in the face. Nicely done. I bet you are learning a lot from these variations.

bvphotosnap Thank you Margie! I've learned that there isn't much in creativity with a mannequin and studio portraits :D I imagine fashion would be interesting but I prefer wildlife ☺

Margie You abound in creativity! Me not so much unfortunately. Maybe you could try some wild fashion?? :))

bvphotosnap hahahaha 😉 I only used black so that all the focus would be on the shadows that are on her face but maybe I should put some leopard print on her? :D Maybe tomorrows photo and you will be my inspiration!! ☺

Romain very interesting picture. Indeed, It's adds a strange dramatic accent to this scene...

bvphotosnap Thank you @Romain! I'd love to have a real model to light real flesh and be able to turn just her head or have her eyes turn towards the camera... :/

Romain but when I'm looking at this portrait I think that you have a good photo studio where you can do this... good light conditions are very (... euh, most) important for portrait photography..
This is something I would also like to try..... but after a few years ;-)

Tomasz Dolata Super shade and excellent quality....

bvphotosnap Much appreciated @Tomasz thanks so much!! ☺
