Dedicating this title to one of the most beautiful children's book title ever conceived: Cry, Heart, But Never Break by Danish author Glenn Ringtved.
The thing is, this was the last few shots before a heavy rain. My paper heart is crumbling from the drizzle, I worry for my camera because it just survived a 2nd fall.
But in that moment, there is just so much that makes me happy to be alive. Breathing, not thinking, and just to be enjoying the touch of the rain on my skin.
Despite the dark gloomy sky and my initial idea of making this a "rain" shot, I decided to make the photo look sunny and warm.
To balance the sadness with warmth and sunlight.
To remind me that nothing is ever in my control. Things change.
The times when it seems like the world will come to an end, but the world still goes on, tells me that it's never under my control. And I learn something beautiful in the process.
