Chris G Any advice you have for someone that's never done this before? Settings, etc?
jewels First advice of course is the tripod. For this one, I used a simple gorillapod. I used aperture priority mode, smallest possible aperture (my camera only goes to f/16) and blocked the ISO at 100. I tried a couple with different apertures and selected the one that came out the best (it was the one with the smallest aperture - longest exposure time) As it was dusk and there was still some light, I could use the autofocus without any issue (otherwise, you will need to set the focus manually). Contrarily to long exposure during daylight, no need for a ND filter or any other gadget. It really looks harder than it is, but if you try, you should get it right pretty fast :-) Looking forward to seeing yours!
Chris G Thanks. I really appreciate it.
jewels You're most welcome!
Chris G I still haven't taken one of these types of pictures. Your picture only makes me want to try all the more, because it's so pretty.
