Buena Vista Park

I walked up to Buena Vista Heights, through Buena Vista Park, and to the Haight. When I visited San Francisco in 2006 (the only time I had been here before I moved here), I walked from where I was staying in the Mission to the Golden Gate Bridge, and along the way, I walked up Haight Street, where I came across the large stairway that led up to the park.

When I came to the west side of the park, I was greeted with this view... so, today, I took the opportunity to reproduce the panorama from that day for comparison's sake.

The park has been developed a bit since then. There is a playground there now (out of view to the right and behind me), paths have been added, and wildflowers have been planted (note the irony). There appears to be ongoing improvements to the park, although it remains a favourite location for drug dealers/users and the homeless.
