Crocus Pocus

I was on my way to the train to head home after work, chatting with my hon, and all of a sudden I did a double-take when I saw some purple poking up from the grass along the sidewalk path. I thought maybe someone had scattered petals, but no! It was attached! It was fresh new growth! It was a real flower! OH MY GOODNESS! So far it has not felt too much like spring, so this was absolutely glorious and exciting to find (especially with MORE SNOW in the forecast for later this week....).
