A Taste of What's Yet to Come

I woke up this morning to a white window. The winter mist had settled in over night, a taste of what's yet to come. I felt hurried, eager to bounce out of bed to make the most of this mysterious cloak before it melted away with the morning.

Moments quietly slipped by...

The bounding out of bed I had anticipated never seemed to surface. Suddenly the idea of precious extra moments in my own cocoon of warmth and cuddles, were far more appealing.

To my luck, this fog was not the fleeting kind. It was the thick sort of blanket, which wraps around roof tiles and clings to chimney pots, snuggling them tight.

So I gathered my belongings a few hours later and headed out for an adventure.
