I think he's lost

This snail is on the very last outreaches of a very thin, stick-ish plant. I have no idea why he came up here or where he plans to go from here. Frankly, I was riveted and wanted to watch him waggle his little eye stalks and slowly slide around from stick to stick, but I had to go to work. /sigh
