f/16 for the detailed image. I could probably do f/22 but I think the strobe might explode. It already was pretty loud. And also, this is the closest I can get to the subject and still keep the focus. I wish I had a macro lens.

I think this is my first weekly theme entry in like three or four weeks.

Alek Jedliński Thanks! What would you suggest for a first source of light to buy? A strobe or maybe softbox with CFL bulbs?

Paweł Kadysz I'm using Quantuum Move 400WS. A bit too powerful. I think a 200WS one would be enough for me. I gave my CFL away. Never used it ever since I got the strobe. As for the modifiers I mostly use 80x80cm softbox. This is a pretty decent setup for start. I've been using it for almost a year now. Next month I'll be adding a reflector stand to the setup. It's much cheaper than another source light.

Satoshi T I use tracing-paper before DIY umbrella with clip on strobe. No modeling light so I can't check before shooting. Thank you @Alek and @Paweł for very helpful Discussions.
