You can see the viaduct that supports the A9 motorway. Opened to traffic in 1970 to connect Lausanne and Aigle, and to absorb the traffic of goods passing through the Simplon Pass towards Italy, this highway is incredible because of the landscape it offers when you cross it! It overlooks Lake Geneva from Lavaux, passing by the Riviera vaudoise (Vevey, Montreux) with an incredible look at the Alps and the Rhône Valley behind the lake. You can see here the "Château de Chillon" by the lake. I took this view from the beach-pool in Villeneuve.
