eventide Why? I was only surprised, that after killing all Freys and their allies she decided to go to the King's Landing and murder Cersei. I was expecting, that she will return to Winterfell, as she said to Jaquen H'ghar.

More or less. I've decided to read them all carefully after releasing both "Winds of winter" and "Dream of spring".
But I know, that TV series and books differ between one from another (looking to death of Barristan Selmy, living Brienne, lack of lady Stoneheart and others...).
