Take Off

Take Off by Hung Liu at SFO. This painting at the San Francisco Airport seemed appropriate for the occasion after I dropped off my seven-year-old nephew for his flight back to New York. Flying as an unaccompanied minor was a big adventure for him (he now gets to brag about it to his buddies back home). For us, his departure brought a relieved cat back out of its secret hiding place, and an abrupt end to non-stop Pokemon streaming, french fries drenched in ketchup and finding food fragments lodged in the strangest places. Petrified broccoli, anyone?
