A Girl and Her Dog

If you type Robert Frank San Francisco The Americans into a Google search, one of the photos that most often comes up is of an African-American couple in a park (Alamo Square), and in the not-too-far-off distance is a white six-story apartment building. That would be this building.

The juxtaposition of the tree and the entrance were what caught my eye but up the street came this woman and her dog, so I waited for her to get into the frame before snapping. I tried to shoot a second frame when she got closer to center, but... clumsy fingers.
