A Well-Deserved Cup of Tea

Becky was scheduled to help me today, but there was a death in her family and couldn't come. Yikes, the social club would be here tomorrow night. We planned a bonfire, but it would be too cold for some to be outside. I couldn't very well kick old Mary Y out of the house. So everything from the garage to the screen porch to the patio to the island had to be cleaned and prepped for activities. I scrubbed and polished and washed windows as fast as I could. Katie and Owen arrived around four for an overnighter and the fun really started. He was full of energy and as pleasant as ever! After dinner, I attended the board meeting and made my presentation in front of 50+. It was well received and our proposal was approved. Considering I started the day at 6 am aerobics, I was spent. Hence, my well-deserved cup of tea at the end of this day.
