I have wanted to photograph Candlestick Park since I arrived in San Francisco a little over seven years ago. Not long after my arrival, it was announced that the 49ers were moving to South Bay, and I wanted to take photos of the stadium from Bayview Hill (or Candlestick Hill), visible in the background, during one of the last games there. I guess that I wasn't ambitious enough, as the last game came and went, and the stadium was razed.

On my way back from a job in Burlingame, I decided to make a somewhat quick detour to see what might be left of the stadium.
