This week, I am testing my slowly growing collection of cheap, old, manual focus, fixed length lenses. Today was the turn of the 35mm "Fotasy" brand lens adapted from a CCTV camera lens for use with my Sony E-mount. I have used it before, once, and I liked and hated its strange warped focal plane. No mater where you focus, some part of the photo will be blurry. It is a little bit like the Instagram "Tilt shift" filter, but in-camera, without any digital trickery. That was what I was going to play with today, but as luck would have it, the day turned out crazy at work, and I still had not shot a single frame by the time I hit the road to go home.
One good thing about having a manual focus lens on your camera as you drive at night is you can go nuts, and it will look like art.
