Preston Phillips All of my primes are 1.8s. 50 mm used in the pictures, 85 mm in the picture, and a 35 mm in my bag.

Preston Phillips Don't be. Ha ha. It's taken me 3 years to get them and other than a kit lens, primes are all I have.
On top of that, your pictures are VERY impressive. :)

Aaron Ah but I am envious, would love one.. eventually heh. I'd be stuck on my kit lens if it weren't for a lucky gift! Keep making good use of them :D

Preston Phillips All in due time. I paid for all of mine. I had to save up for them but I really love primes for the aperture and the look I can get with them. I hope to get into portrait photography sooner than later.

Preston Phillips And thank you. I have a local photographer friend who says the same thing though I have a hard time believing it since she is so much better.
I'm going to try and get my wife to go out and about with me and try and take a better picture of her today (since my last one wasn't all that good due to rather harsh light).

If it makes you feel better, I suck at taking a compliment as well. Ha ha. I'm trying to get better about it though. Ha ha.
