smoke bush is showing off

This is one of the few plants in my garden that shows off its fall colors (a lot of plants stay green in Northern California). In the spring, the Smoke Bush sends out plumes of fine fluffy inflorescences that gives this particular cultivar the name of "Pink Champagne." The more common variety has dark purple leaves but I like this one with the light green leaves better, not just for its fizzy name but also for the flaming show of colors in the fall.
