Everywhere you look these days there are these temporary Christmas-trees-for-sale businesses. I don't ever remember seeing them when I was younger, but they now seem to be as symbolic of Christmas as hot chocolate and Santa. They're all identical too. Temporary fence erected in a portion of a larger parking lot with flags reminiscent of a used car lot and work lights strung above.
As it always is a friend of mine has a friend who sells the trees in this manner during this time of year. Apparently, he sells the trees for around 10-15 times more than he buys them. Claims to "make so much money he won't have to work for months", yet they have to often sleep on site in their truck, or sometimes a temporary trailer, so people don't steal the trees.
Kind of ironic to me that something as special as the Christmas holiday season is seen by some as not a way to spread cheer, be merry and happy. Instead it's seen as a money making opportunity.
This is where I refrain from commenting on how similar that way of thinking is to our dear dear President.
Photo wise, this isn't one that I look and and think WOW that's a good photo. Actually, just the opposite. But I thought I'd post it as it's something I see every day this time of year & thought since this website is predominantly made up of people from outside the USA, it might not be something everyone else experiences.
