Yes, the photo is a bit blurry, but I had to take it while standing under the giant sign that said "No Photos permitted beyond this point". Because, you know, they need to SELL you the picture with Santa, right?
I'm also still learning to manually focus the F1 lens through a rangefinder camera. It's a lot of fun!
As for the photo, this is my daughter with Santa. We were expecting there to be a line. A long, long line like in years past. Yet when we arrived there was Santa, just standing with nobody in line.
Apparently, dinner time is a great time to come visit.
This sent my daughter into a panic. She stopped dead in her tracks, took a step or two backward, tucked behind the Letters to Santa mailbox, ensuring she was not in Santa's line of sight when she whispered to me "Daddy, wait. I need to think... I mean need to... I don't know what I'm going to say to him yet. I didn't think we would get to... UGGGH. What if he says I wasn't a good girl? I was a good girl, right? "
This picture is her nervously playing with her fingers and swinging her feet back and forth after she just sat down.
To make it even tougher, Santa decided to have about a 5 minute chat with her since there was nobody else in line. Lol, poor girl. I thought she was going to pass out from anxiety.

vera That reminds me exactly the same feelings with my children when they was little 😉
