staking a claim

As part of my job, I get to visit schools around the City of San Francisco to help create a "green schoolyard." On this evening, I had just gotten out of a community meeting at a school right in the middle of Chinatown, and while looking for a bus to take me back home, I came upon this sign outside a small restaurant claiming to be the first tea house in the USA. I hope I can find the place again so that I can check out the dim sum with such great history.
