William Bligh sailed to Australia on Captain Cook's third voyage (Captain Cook discovered Australia [according to Australian history books]).
He became NSW Governor Blight in 1806 and made it his personal goal to stamp out corruption and racketeering. He was so successful that in 1808 the Sydney settlers held a mass meeting to thank him! But then the military - which was involved in the corruption - moved against him. Eventually he was returned to England and those who had arrested him were charged and punished.
I'm not in the city weekends so this concludes states week. Having a theme to stick to for a week has been rather good. I got to explore more of the city and read up more about Australian history. I also learned more about considering the suns position and the direction of shadows it makes buildings cast.
