Orchid

My grandmother got this absolutely #beautiful orchid from my mother for #Christmas. I thought photographing it would be quite quick, but instead I spent more than an hour to get this picture.

First I had to iron a white cloth for the background, fix it to a long stick and mount that stick to the wall. Next I had to get the lighting right. For that I used a #flash and a black sheet of paper to prevent light spilling onto the background. It was quite a fun shoot.

For this particular picture I did a long exposure and manually fired my flash at four different positions to properly light the #orchid.
