Eastern Garter Snake

This little guy thought I couldn't see him. I have a sharp eye, though. I waited for a long time, hoping to catch him whipping his tongue out, but no luck. He was very still. I've been searching for morel mushrooms regularly and I haven't found any yet, but I'm finding many other wonderful woodland treasures whole I search.
