A couple of weeks ago I spent a pretty penny on a new macro lens. Since then I've been feel doubt about if I made the right decision.

Today, while going to deliver some good news to my team (my boss' boss complemented them on their work) I spotted my first trillium of the year, in this case a Red Trillium. I've never been able to catch one before the petals full emerge.

Next week is going to be five days of forced not-working (stupid vacations). But I suppose I'll have some fun shooting with both the macro and looooong lens.
