I've finished "The Breakthrough: Immunotherapy and the Race to Cure Cancer" by Charles Graeber a couple of days ago.
It's a really nice entry level introduction to cancer immunotherapy, a recent breakthrough in oncology, for which the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine was awarded last year.
I know that one can go through the Wikipedia articles or watch an explanatory video on Youtube to get similar introduction but this book is a lot more. Not only does it give you insights into the history of the idea of unleashing the immune system against the tumors but also explores the personal quest of Jim Allison, the Nobel Prize winner, on his way to the discovery. Add stories behind the first clinical trials and the personal accounts of the patients and you have a very comprehensive book on the biggest advance in the war with cancer we had so far.
TLDR: highly recommended read!
