Mimicing as a Tool to Learning

Twice a year I have a school group that comes up for SCIENCE! They get to go out and do different environmental monitoring and testing... stuff I really enjoyed doing back in school.

The lead teacher on the group is also a photographer... an altogether talented photographer. A couple of years back he came out with a series of pictures of our property. Some very-very outstanding pictures.

I'm, slowly, starting to recreate what he's done. Not as an attempt to steal anything from him, but as a way of learning and growing.

I could just go to him and ask how he did it... but for me at least, it would mean I didn't learn anything.

So, for now at least, I've learned that he totally didn't take the photo in the afternoon.
