Day 11 - The Majestic Canyon Fjaðrárgljúfur

Just passing by on the way to Vestmannajear and found that nature miracle by chance. Then we realised that it is full of young people going around. Why ? Because it was showed in the clip of the so-called artist Justin Bieber (I'll show You) and starting from that it became famous.

The canyon is up to 100 m deep and 2 km long and it is located in southeast Iceland not so far away from the village Kirkjubæjarklaustur. The river Fjaðrá runs through it. Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon was created by progressive erosion by flowing water from glaciers through the rocks over a long period of time, some say 9000 years ago.
