I'm conflicted.
I don't know what picture to share. So, with the power of Photoshop, I'm going to share the two I'm proud of.
Top is a wolf with a deer. I'm unsure of the species of wolf (there is a study going on involving DNA analyst to determine if the area has Red, Grey, Coyote, or some sort of mutt-variety). Earlier in the day some colleagues got site of it out on the ice. I, sadly, was stuck in town getting my snow tires on. Fortuitously, at least one stuck around to get its picture taken. (I was about 200m meters away, along the treeline, shooting with my 600mm lens... I was not disturbing the critter).
The bottom is my Varied Thrush. Today I was able to get out from the office and patiently wait for him to make an appearance. And he did! Now... I just need him to stick around until Saturday, so I can include the siting in my FeederWatch count.
